That usually means: “I have trips” or “I have nothing.” Against an unknown, population at 1/2 or 1/3 usually underbluffs this spot.

They don’t fire big river bluffs enough after checking turn. So: If typical low-stakes live player → Fold is probably best. If he’s capable, aggressive, younger, or ego-driven → Call becomes better. With no read and you’re tired, hungry, headache, end of session? Fold and protect the win. QQ is near the top of your range here, but that doesn’t mean you have to pay off when population doesn’t bluff enough. Disciplined fold > curious call when fatigued. If you call and he shows KJ, you won’t regret folding. If you call and he shows missed diamonds, you’ll feel smart — but that doesn’t mean it was higher EV long term. Given the day you’ve had?
