they play it where utg acts first - so i was the one that opened the pot to 30. button is ultimate last action pre flop which is very odd. co c sb c btn c

i think checking range is optimal here. i dont have any off suit tx except maybe ATo but even that is a pretty marginal open. probably would raise it tho.

so i have like two combos of a4s probably, suited Tx and ATo. villians have way more Tx combos and 4x and i have way more overpairs and high cards, the latter not really wanting to bet. given that in position has the nut advantage and more Tx, i think checking range is a good counter strategy - esp given what ive studied in multiway theory. maybe jx and qx high flops i can do more betting but i like check range here

after it goes bet c c, i feel like i usually have the best hand given co doesnt have much 4x and bet it like hes trying to protect his T, str has the most 4x but a ton of Tx and flush draws and will raise alot of his 4x probably, and while sb has some a4s and 45s, i think he would raise a good proportion of his 4x after it goes bet/call and hes oop with a flush draw on board. given that i rip it

the worst part was that when the ten comes and sb shows jto which isnt even a call preflop - much less a call after a big bet and a call - the co says i folded an even bigger T lmao. so yeah, it was a 1 outer

beyond this being a sick beat - i really like the way i played it. in some situations i could even xf kings when str or sb raise i suppose. the question i have is what would i do with jj or aces, with or without a heart? naturally jacks wanna bet a lot but lets say i check and it goes b/c/c - do i still rip? and i think yeah. sure i dont beat jacks now cuz theres one combo but i think i wouldve heard

i feel like KTdd, QTdd, JTdd, T9dd, AAhc, some of my lower fd like kqhh kjhh, qjhh can go for the call and i obv balance with TT.

jamming vs this situatuon seems pretty intuitive with jj+, A4s, and bluffs being all(???) my nut flush draws? def a2-a5hh. maybe flat a6-a9hh with no bdsd and rip ajhh-akhh? nice thing about this is that if we get AT-JT to fold when we jam ajhh-akhh we actually clean our outs and can maybe get called by some inferior flush draws?? idk if flush draws are even supposed to do much calling but if so it seems like a solid play. no one has tt given the action so im only dead vs one combo of 44 plus my pot odds and all the dead money in the pot makes this seem like a pretty good play

joe said he would raise 40 instead of 30 pre and bet 25-33% on flop instead of checking. so he played this way different. he said as it stands after i checked and it went b/c/c he said he would def not rip - but i felt the vibe and that i had the best hand so i ripped it. while maybe joe wouldve played it differently, i like the way i played it and feel like it was optimal
